Sunshine!

The boys have been begging to go do some fishing so we went over to Palo today to spend the morning and afternoon. It was a gorgeous day and the lake was very busy! Ben caught one fish and we had a great time soaking up the sunshine!

 

Funnel...

Nick's drive home from work today was pretty exciting for him! He saw this funnel cloud and he was way too happy about it! 

 

Driving...

The time has come for me to take a more active role in preparing our guys to be good drivers... or so I have been told! So, today the boys drove me around in the Acadia for the first time! We all survived and I guess we need to make this a daily activity. I'm hoping they can get their licenses by the end of the summer... we will see!

 

Forced...

The boys endured some "forced" outside time today! Conner did a great job vacuuming out the vehicles and Ben helped Nick with other jobs in the garage. They survived but were ready to get back to their technology after a couple of hours!

 

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!!! Our boys sure do love their amazing dad! Nick and I are so lucky to have amazing dads of our own as well!

 

What a Difference!

We plan on water sealing the deck this weekend, but first we needed to power wash the deck. I just had to take a picture as Nick was working on this to show what a difference it makes! 

 

Cards...

Conner took card making to a whole new level this morning! He was working on a Fathers Day card for Nick and he looked up several different things he wanted to draw on the card and spent almost 2 hours making his card for Dad. It was very sweet!

 

Home...

We were all packed up and ready to go bright and early! It is always sad to leave, but so nice to get home! Thanks to Mama and Papa for another wonderful week at the lake!

 

One More Ride...

We took some family photos after dinner tonight and then we headed out for one more ride around the lake! Ben was finally able to catch a big bass, which is what he had been trying for all week. Conner definitely caught the biggest bass and Ben caught the biggest crappie of the week, so they were both pretty happy!

Last Day!

Today is Sunday and it is our last day here and we will be leaving in the morning to drive home! Our time went by so fast this year! The guys spent the day fishing and Papa caught a huge walleye so that was fun for everyone to see!

Saturday...

We spent Saturday afternoon and evening at the beach and out in the boat fishing! We tried some night fishing so the boys could use their new bobbers that light up, but the mosquitos were so bad, the boys abandoned the activity within 5 minutes!
