Celebrate!

We had so much fun celebrating all the birthdays this weekend! The cousins played, the adults chatted, presents were given and opened, and Nana and Gramps made some yummy food! It was a great weekend!

Iron Tee!

We traveled to Bettendorf Friday evening to spend the weekend at my parents and celebrate all of the family's July birthdays. On Saturday we went over to Iron Tee to hit some golf balls. The boys had gone with Nana and Gramps a couple weeks before, so Nick really wanted to check it out. It was a fun way to spend an hour!

 

Delhi!

We finally made it out to Lake Delhi today! We had such an amazing time cruising the lake and fishing!

 

Technology...

I walked downstairs this morning to see what the guys were up to and discovered that they have quite the setup going on. Conner was playing the xbox on the tv and Ben was playing nintendo on the switch in a holder connected to the table! Plus, their phones were next to them playing videos! They do love their technology...

 

Happy 17th Birthday!

Today our boys turn 17 years old! I just can't believe it! We splurged a little and got the guys the xbox that they have been asking for and they were so excited! After spending half the day trying to figure out how to set it up, they really enjoyed playing! Conner chose his birthday dinner tonight and he wanted homemade mac and cheese and barbeque chicken lollipops. They wanted ice cream lasagna instead of cake so we ended the day with slices of that while we sang happy birthday! It was a wonderful day celebrating these two amazing children of ours. Happy 17th Birthday Conner and Benjamin!!!

 

Letters...

We were notified today that both of our boys will receive academic letters at the high school for their excellent GPA last semester! We are so excited!

 

Ben's Choice...

Ben chose to go to Zoeys for some pizza tonight for his birthday dinner! I cannot believe these two are almost 17!

 

Handsome!

These two handsome guys got their hair cut today! Conner went with a new look and Ben finally agreed to cut some of his hair!

 

Arcade...

I took the boys out for some games and bowling today and we were able to meet some friends there. The guys had such a fun time!

 

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! We plan on having a pretty quiet day at home all together!

 

Happy (Early) 4th!

Nick was able to get off work a little early today, so we decided to go over to Palo for some relaxation. We took dinner out in the boat and just enjoyed some peace for a couple of hours. Ben was the only one to catch a fish again! We headed home before it got too late so we could watch some fireworks. Our town does fireworks on the 3rd of July, so we walked around the block where we could see them and watched the show after dark.

 

Rainy Race...

The guys drove over to Independence tonight to watch the races! At least they got to watch a few before it started to rain... they still had a great time!
