Dance!

At the last minute, Ben and Conner, decided to go to the Spring Fling Dance at school tonight. They had a few friends that called them and told them that they would meet them there, so they opted to go. They both danced and had lots of fun!

 

Cuts...

The guys went in for haircuts today and Ben decided to cut off all his hair! They are both looking pretty good today!

 

Job Shadow...

Ben and Conner got to participate in a job shadow today at Mt. Mercy to learn about their athletic programs and meet some coaches. They both said they had a good time and I love that they get to do these fun things every once in a while!

 

Proof...

The guys have spring Break this week. Nick and I both had to work, so Ben and Conner have been home alone every day. They have really enjoyed all of their gaming time. Today I told them to send me a picture to prove that they were actually feeding themselves! This is what I got, with a text saying, "See!" 

 

Brackets!

March Madness brackets are officially complete! Whoever wins gets to pick a place to go out for dinner!

 

Birthdays!

The whole family got together to celebrate February and March birthdays this weekend! Always a fun time to spend time together!

 

Darts!

We got a new dart board for the game room and we played our first game today! Conner (somehow) won!

 

Aquaculture...

Conner is taking an aquaculture class this semester at school, and he sent a picture of his fish tank today. He got new fish to put in it, but they were hiding today!

 

Birthday Celebration!

My sister and brother and their families came over to see me at my hotel in Des Moines tonight! I was really excited to have family to spend my birthday with. Cari brought dinner and cake and the kids swam for a while in the pool. It was truly a great way to spend a night away from home! My guys took themselves out to dinner, too, so that was fun to get those pictures and see them celebrating as well!

Super Bowl...

The guys had lots of fun watching the superbowl tonight while I was in Des Moines for work. They made chili dogs and tator tots smothered with cheese! I miss them already!

 

Early Bday!

We celebrated my birthday early today since I will be traveling for work on my actual birthday! The guys showered me with gifts and we had a nice relaxing day, just the way I like it!

 

Happy Friday!

The only good thing about having to travel so much for work right now, is that I get to take a few days off early once in a while to balance everything out. I took the afternoon off today and was home to greet these two as they stormed in the door (both needing the bathroom!) It was a great way to end another hectic work week! TGIF!

 

Visit!

I took a picture tonight from my hotel room tonight to show how close I am to the capital building. That is where I go every morning for training! My sister and nieces came over tonight and I was so happy to have the company. They took me out to dinner and the girls were able to enjoy some pool time at the hotel! I am so thankful we were able to spend the evening together, it really helped me not feel so home sick!

 

Out to Eat...

The guys went out to eat tonight while I was in Des Moines! It was nice to see their faces!

 

Out of Town...

I had to go to Des Moines today to stay until Thursday for training for my new job. It was hard to leave these guys today so Nick sent me a picture of the three of them having dinner tonight. I am going to miss them so much!

 

Happy New Year!

Hard to believe it is 2025!!! Conner and Nick enjoyed watching the football game today rooting for different teams! It was great having an extra day off work to spend together at home!
