Performance!

Ben's preschool teacher had contacted me about seeing if the boys would be interested in playing their trombones for some preschool kiddos during their music unit. Of course, the boys were happy to do that, so today they played a couple of songs for the preschool kids and answered some questions about band! It was really cool to see them in the old preschool room "all grown up!"

Conner's Turn...

Another baseball game tonight and it was Conners turn to score a run! He got walked to first, stole second, and made it to third and home! He was pumped! The game ended and the tornado sirens went off as we were driving home, so that made for an eventful night at our house!

136000!!!

Ben had to have blood drawn this week and we have been anxiously awaiting the results... I got a message that his platelet count is up to 136000!!!! We are going to enjoy this! A weight has been lifted and Ben is ecstatic! As long as his liver function is good (which we think it is, still waiting on a note from the doctor) the bone marrow medicine seems to be working! 

Watching the Weather...

When there are storm warnings, you will always catch these 3 watching the radar, no matter what else is going on around them!

Double...

Ben and Conner had another baseball game tonight! Ben got a double and scored a run! Conner's batting stance has really improved but no hits today!

Millionaires!

Conner and Ben both set the goal of reading a million words at school this year, and they both accomplished it this week! Our kind librarian made this picture and sent it to me! The boys are very proud and they will get to have a pizza party at school with their friends!

Race Time...

Soccer and baseball got canceled tonight because of all the rain, so Nick took the boys to a race instead. After a tough day at school (including an emotional visit to middle school) these boys needed some fun time with their dad! 

Tie Game!

Ben played second base tonight a couple of times and Conner did a great job playing right, center, and left field. It was a great game to watch. We tied the number 1 team, so it was really fun!

Farmers...

The weather hasn't been cooperating with us very well, as we have lots of outdoor plans for our deck and landscaping projects. One of our projects was making raised vegetable gardens and we did get those planted today. The boys were very excited and declared themselves farmers!

Nick did an excellent job of making our mother's day fabulous! Happy Mother's Day to our moms! 

Ribbons...

Ben and Conner received some ribbons today for their successes at track day! 

Last Time...

The boys and I went to school early this morning to have doughnuts for our last "morning with mom" at Novak Elementary... ever!!!

Landscaping..

We have a lot of landscaping to do this summer! We have been trying to get a head start on some of it and we were able to talk the boys into helping us today!

Ben and Conner had their first baseball game of the season today!

Track Day!

Ben and Conner had track day at school today! They got to spend the day at the high school track competing in 3 events and cheering on their classmates! They both had a lot of fun! Both boys competed in the 50m, the shuttle relay, and the football throw. They loved competing and spending the day with their friends and teachers outside of the classroom! It was also a great time for me, since I got to go spend the day with them!
