Football Game!

Conner and Ben had their first football game as team managers today! They were absolutely thrilled!

Busy Day...

The boys were very excited when they found out that Papa was picking them up to go fishing this morning! They had a great time with Papa and we truly appreciate Papa for doing this!!! Ben sent me this selfie on their way home! We had a visit from Nana and Gramps this afternoon and it was great to see them! We watched the Hawkeye game and then Conner had to watch the Nascar race as well. Ben fell asleep on the couch about 8:30! Conner made it through the race, but these boys are exhausted after a pretty exciting few days!

 

Tunnel...

Conner and Ben are ready for Homecoming Spirit Day at school! They got to wear their football jerseys and they got to help form a tunnel for the varsity team to run through at the football game tonight!

 

Football...

I said no football.... but they found a way... Nick took the boys over to the 8th grade football game a couple nights ago. The guys said they wanted to watch some of their friends play. At halftime, the coach called Ben and Conner over to the sideline and asked if they wanted to be "managers" for the remainder of the season. The boys were so excited when they got home! The coach emailed me and let me know that there wasn't exactly a need for managers, but everyone just likes having Ben and Conner around so much! Conner and Ben received their football jerseys today so they can wear them to the games. It is all they have been talking about for the last 2 days... 

 

Happy Birthday Nick!

Happy Birthday to my fantastic husband! He is amazing and I would not want to be on this journey with anyone else! We celebrated with a few gifts, but settled on a quick dinner tonight because the Linn Mar Homecoming Parade was tonight! It went right by our house, so the boys collected huge bags of candy and we had a good time hanging out with some friends in our driveway! 

 

Out with the Old...

We are finally going to get new siding for our house! The old stuff is off, just have to wait for the delivery guy to bring the new siding over and for the contractor to actually get over here to get it done!

 

Game...

We got to go the Kernels baseball game tonight! It was lots of fun and the boys were pretty excited because they were playing the Quad City River Bandits!
