Fishing...

Today Nick took the boys on a little fishing trip and they even got to meet up with Gramps!  It was a great day to go fishing and the boys had a lot of fun!

  

Happy 7th Birthdays!

The day is here... July 14, 2014... Today our two boys turn seven years old.  Ben was quick to assure me that he was still my baby so I didn't need to cry!  Nick and I are the luckiest parents to have such sweet boys that continue to amaze us everyday!  Happy Birthday Benjamin and Conner!  There aren't adequate words to describe how much Mom and Dad love you.  I just hope you know and can feel that we love you more than anything and we are so proud of you both!  I can't believe you are 7 years old!!!

Post Party...

Everyone had a great Saturday night celebrating and soon it was Sunday morning... always too soon... The kids all enjoyed being together!  We were able to get a great picture of the 5 grandkids!  The rest of Sunday was spent playing with all of the new toys (and finding places to put all of the new toys!)

Birthday Party!

On Saturday we had a birthday party for Ben's and Conner's 7th birthdays!!!  The boys had so much fun!

Thank you everyone for coming and for all of the presents!  It was an awesome day celebrating our two boys!

Happy 4th of July!

Conner and Ben did a few sparklers and snakes before heading to bed tonight to celebrate the Fourth of July!

Transformers!

We took the boys to see the new Transformers movie today!  They did really well!  It was a great movie, but it was a little long, so I was very impressed that the boys managed to sit for that long!  Now, of course, we just have to deal with the fact they think they are Bumblebee and Optimus Prime...

Sundae or Sunday...

The boys had big plans today... they were going to go to their first race tonight with Daddy and Papa.  Of course, those plans were made before all the crazy weather so the races ended up being cancelled for the night.  We had two very sad little boys.  We tried to make the best of it with spending time playing outside and decided at the end of the evening we needed to make a trip to the ice cream shop!  As we were all getting into the van, my favorite conversation of the day began...

Mom: So, what kind of ice cream do you want?
Ben: Ummm... banilla with caramel.... and sprinkles
Mom: So, you want vanilla ice cream with some caramel and sprinkles on it?
Ben: Yep.
Dad: So, you want like a sundae?
Ben: No Dad, it's Tuesday! What?!  I just want banilla with caramel and sprinkles!
Dad:.........Okay Buddy........

Conner decided he wanted the same thing!  We enjoyed some ice cream and called it a night!
