Monday...

More fish this morning...

Nick tried to find some quiet time, but Ben and Conner had other plans...

The boys have been asking for days now about going to ride the go-karts, so today we headed into town for some driving fun!  As always, the boys loved driving the little cars, and had a great time riding with the grown ups in the big cars!  They also got to play some miniature golf, so they were loving that! It was so funny to watch them on a couple holes trying to figure out where their golf balls were going to end up after going through a tube or obstacle!

We are ready for more fishing! Ben was trying to look fierce as he lowered the boat lift!

I even got to drive the boat...

Nick and the boys enjoyed some fishing with Papa tonight!

"Fun"day...

Sunday brought us more fishing and beach time, just the way we like it! It was fun to watch Conner and Ben just fishing off the dock!

Ben was still trying to catch those fish...

Some rain kept us inside tonight, so the kids all watched Zootopia on the computer! (Conner talked about this movie for the remainder of the week!)

Waterday...

Nick took Ben and Conner fishing early this morning... they were up anyway! It is amazing how well our boys do in that boat. They can't seem to sit still anywhere else! They were very excited about getting out there and catching some fish!

It was another beautiful day, so we enjoyed the beach and the lake this afternoon! Ben and Conner loved sitting in the tubes this year. Conner even grabbed an oar and paddled around.

Ben was obsessed with catching fish while we were swimming! He spent much of the afternoon trying to sneak up on the little fish and trying to catch some. The resort owner gave Ben some minnows to put in his bucket when he couldn't quite catch one!

The boys went tubing again this year! They still went pretty slow, since we weren't sure they would be able to handle falling off just yet! Ben was first, then Conner, and then Nick.

Time for some evening fishing... this is our happy place!

Packing, Driving, Arriving...

Thursday night was spent excitedly packing! Ben wanted to help, Conner opted to stay inside! (Our almost 9 year olds have grown some serious attitudes in recent weeks!)  Everyone is so excited to get to Minnesota and have a fun week!

Friday morning, we were up and ready to go! Not really looking forward to the driving part of the trip, but we are all ready to be at our destination! Our first stop was for some breakfast and the boys really liked the idea of having a "grown up" breakfast from McDonalds!

Surprise, surprise, we actually made really good time this year. We stopped for lunch about 4 and a half hours after we left, and then kept on truckin til we hit Spicer, MN!  We did a little unpacking and then the boys hit the lake and we enjoyed the sunshine!

Fishing after dinner is always one of our favorite things to do! It was a great day to start our vacation!!!

Movie...

I took Ben and Conner to the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie this morning! They got their own snacks and they absolutely loved the movie! They also got to finish their bracelets this afternoon while I cooked up tons of goodies for vacation! We will be heading to Minnesota on Friday morning for our annual trip!
