Flood...

This was the scene in our backyard Monday evening... we have never seen water come so far into the yard!  We also had a river running along the side of our house as well.  Luckily, all the water stayed outside here.  Crazy rain...

Swimming Lessons...

Monday was the last day of swimming lessons for this session and the boys passed to the next level!  We were all pretty happy!  They are very comfortable in the water now and know how to do their front floats and back floats (for the most part!) They are definitely ready to start learning how to do the different swimming strokes.  They will start their new level next week!  Good job Boys!!!

"Check the Radar!"

On the way home from swimming lessons this morning, the boys and I were talking about what else we were going to do today.  I told them that it might rain this afternoon and they immediately needed to get home to "check the weather."  When we got home, Ben grabbed the Ipad and quickly checked the radar to see how far away the rain was.  Conner also wanted a turn to check it by himself!  Here they are checking the weather apps...  They are their father's children!

New Helmets!

After Ben's epic fall on Saturday, I have definitely backed off on the bike riding this week.  (I can't help it... it's my nature...)  But today we went and got brand new helmets for the boys so I would at least feel a little better about letting them get back on their bikes!  They are pretty pumped!  Watching these two ride their bikes around on the street, you would never guess that they just learned how to ride with no training wheels!  They are awesome... and they have no fear...

Park Fun...

Ben and Conner were having fun at the park with Mom and Dad today!  We watched the sky turn dark and the thunderstorm roll in and then headed home just in time to not get wet!

Crafty...

Dad was the crafty one this morning who helped Ben and Conner make the masks they had been wanting to make!  Batman and Spiderman, of course!

Ben's Bump...

On Saturday night, Ben gave us a little scare... he fell off his bike... hard!  He turned too sharp and went down hitting his head on the cement.  He had a helmet on, but he still hit his forehead pretty good.  I could see the bump protruding from his forehead instantly!  Nick took Ben's picture while Ben was still pretty scared about his injury.  Ben told us that he really didn't want to go to the hospital, but thought he probably needed to anyway!  We got through it without an ER trip though and Ben sat with ice on it for a while.  Ugh...
