New Years Eve...

Our little family spent our New Years Eve fighting off sickness and going to bed early. The four of us are now sick and we have not been accomplishing too much! Nick got outside today, although he shouldn't have, and got the driveway cleared of snow. Ben really wanted to go help him, but he was just too sick, so he sat in his window, watching Dad, just like he used to when he was younger! I snapped this picture because it reminded me of how Ben and Conner would sit on the top edge of the couch at our old house and watch Nick outside when it was too cold for them to go join him!

It is New Years Eve and Nick still tried to make our night special by making us some wings and other yummy foods for dinner! We enjoyed as much as we could, settled ourselves back on the couches, and ultimately went to bed! Not the way we wanted to end the year, but we are all together and that is all that matters! We had another crazy, fun, busy, wonderful year. Life with my 3 guys is always an adventure! I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for us!!!

Game Night...

We gave the boys Iowa basketball tickets for Christmas and tonight was game night. Conner is sick. I am sick. And... we have a winter storm. But, the prospect of telling them that we couldn't go was too much for me and Nick, so we loaded up and headed to Iowa City (in a snowstorm) anyway! The boys were really happy that we went and they immediately asked when we could go again!

Projects...

So many new projects, so little time... I found these laser pegs (light up legos) on Amazon and the boys are loving them! (And yes, Conner is wearing a Darth Vader costume.) We love winter break!

Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve is here and the boys and I spent our morning packing and when Nick got home we made our way to Bettendorf. We went to church where the boys got to participate in the service again this year. They always love that! Then we hung out at Nana and Gramps' for the night! Before bed, the boys sprinkled some reindeer food for the reindeer and left some cookies for Santa and they were off to bed! Hard to believe that tomorrow is already Christmas!!!

Our Christmas!!!

Today is December 23 and that means that today is the day that the four of us celebrate Christmas in our home! The boys wrote letters to Santa asking to be elves, so our elf, Eddie, brought them certificates from Santa making them honorary elves! Ben and Conner were very excited! We kept ourselves busy this morning while Nick was at work, but by the afternoon, the boys were getting a little impatient to open presents!

When Dad got home, it was finally time to open some presents!!!

After dinner, the boys spent the night racing away! Nick and I had a wonderful Christmas with our boys!!!

Christmas in Conrad!

We went to Conrad for Christmas this weekend! On Saturday night, we all got to open presents and enjoy the great food that Mama had prepared! The boys had so much fun!

On Sunday the kids got some play time in and we enjoyed the morning. It went by too quick, but by the afternoon, it was time to head home and get ready for our last week of school before winter break! Thank you Mama and Papa for a wonderful Christmas!!!
