Peace...

The boys enjoyed driving the boat today and we had a pretty peaceful afternoon on the lake! 

 

Pool Days...

We have been enjoying afternoons in the pool this week!

 

July Birthday Weekend!

We went to Gramps and Nana's house on Friday to spend the weekend with our family and celebrate all of our July birthdays! Even with the heat, we spent most of our time outside playing games and having a wonderful time together! It was a very fun weekend!

Theater...

We went to the movie theater today to see Black Widow! We really loved it and it was great to go back to a movie theater after so long!

 

Hard at Work!

Papa came over today and helped the boys do some more work on the basement bedroom! Nick and Papa got a lot done and Ben and Conner were great helpers. In the afternoon, I took Ben to Iowa City for his appointment while the rest of the guys kept working. Ben's platelet count today was 167k so we are ecstatic, especially after a low 22k two weeks ago! It was great news to get today!!!

 

Back in the Boat!

We headed back over to Palo late this morning to meet Mama and Papa for a day of fishing! Another wonderful day in the sunshine! We all caught some fish and it made for a very fun afternoon!

 

Next Level...

Conner passed into the next level at swimming lessons this morning!!! He was very excited! We took the boat back over to Waterloo this afternoon so we could go to Brinker and run it fast! 

 

Boat Ride...

Nana and Gramps spent the night after the boys' birthday party, so this morning we took a trip to Palo so everyone could check out the new boat together! It was a wonderful day and it was nice to get Gramps and Nana out in the boat! Nick even caught the first fish!

 

Birthday Party!

Today is the big party day!!! It was a gorgeous day and the boys loved having family here! They even got in a pretty good Nerf war! Happy Birthday Conner and Ben!!!

 

Conner's Car...

Conner and I got his new car finished today! 

 

Happy 14th Birthday!

Today our boys turn 14 years old!!! It is their "Golden Birthday" so we decided to do 14 presents for 14 years on the 14th of July! They absolutely loved opening all of the presents which ranged from a pack of Oreos to a new phone! Besides the phone, Conner's favorite gift was a new Lego car and Ben's favorite was a punching bag to hang! The boys wanted to go to Happy Joes for lunch so that they could play the arcade games. We had cake at home at the end of the night! We had a fantastic day together, even though there was some severe weather to be mindful of!!! I can't believe our boys are 14 years old!!!
