Happy Halloween!

Ben and Conner decided to dress up as an Iowa Hawkeye coach and football player! They also decided that they did want to go trick or treating tonight so I took them around the neighborhood until their candy bags were full! We had a great time and I am glad that we got at least one more year of trick or treating in the books, even if we did have to walk through the snow this year!!!

Pumpkin Carving...

The boys have been on the fence about Halloween this year. They haven't been sure if they want to trick or treat or if they want to hand out candy all night. They also couldn't decide if they wanted to carve pumpkins, so we finally just made the decision for them and got a couple! Ben designed and helped carve a scary face and Conner refused to design a face for his pumpkin... he insisted on a tiger hawk instead...

Activity Night!

Tonight was the 6th grade activity night at school! The boys have been so excited to go. Unfortunately Ben came home sick today and hasn't been feeling well so he was not able to go. He had to stay home with Mom and Dad and play video games all night! Conner, on the other hand, went to school and had the time of his life! He got to play basketball, dodgeball, and video games with his friends. He came home with lots of stories and he was very proud of himself for going all by himself!

Homecoming Parade!

Tonight was the Homecoming Parade! The boys got lots and lots of candy. Their favorite part was seeing the 5th grade teachers from their elementary school in the parade. A huge group of people came over to give the boys hugs as they were marching past our house! Conner and Ben loved it!!!

One More Fishing Trip?

The guys were finally able to get out fishing again today! They are hoping this wasn't the last time this season, but it sure is starting to get colder!
