Ice Fishing!

Nick had told the boys that he would take them ice fishing today, especially since they were all excited about using the new tent and chairs! No fish, but they all had a fantastic time and made it home safely, so that is a success!

Happy Half Birthday!

With the boys' summer birthday, the school always announces their half birthday over the intercom. Since January 14 falls on a Sunday, they announced Ben's and Conner's half birthdays yesterday so they thought we needed to celebrate a little this weekend. We went to Zoeys Pizza for lunch and then we went to the movie Jumanji! They loved their pizza and zookie and we all really liked the movie. Happy half birthday Conner and Ben!!!

8am Basketball...

I have no idea why most of our basketball games are at 8 in the morning. Just lucky I guess. The boys obviously don't mind! They are still enjoying their basketball season!

Our Kind of Normal...

The boys had a basketball game this morning. They both did awesome and Conner even scored a basket! It was pretty exciting to watch! The boys talked me into some lunch at McDonalds, so then I talked them into some haircuts! It is good to get back to our kind of normal after being sick for so long and enjoy our Saturday together!

Land of the Living...

After lots of steroids, antibiotics, and breathing treatments we have rejoined the land of the living. School starts up again tomorrow and I think we will be able to make it! Today there were a few projects (legos and slime) that the boys have been anxiously awaiting, so we fit those in today. After an afternoon nap, we played board games until dinner. I wish we had more time off to do more of this, but... we don't. So I will just be thankful that we are all on the mend and we were able to have a fun day before we have to go back to school!

New Years Eve...

Our little family spent our New Years Eve fighting off sickness and going to bed early. The four of us are now sick and we have not been accomplishing too much! Nick got outside today, although he shouldn't have, and got the driveway cleared of snow. Ben really wanted to go help him, but he was just too sick, so he sat in his window, watching Dad, just like he used to when he was younger! I snapped this picture because it reminded me of how Ben and Conner would sit on the top edge of the couch at our old house and watch Nick outside when it was too cold for them to go join him!

It is New Years Eve and Nick still tried to make our night special by making us some wings and other yummy foods for dinner! We enjoyed as much as we could, settled ourselves back on the couches, and ultimately went to bed! Not the way we wanted to end the year, but we are all together and that is all that matters! We had another crazy, fun, busy, wonderful year. Life with my 3 guys is always an adventure! I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for us!!!
