Trick-or-Treat!

Conner and Ben are ready to go trick-or-treating!!!

The boys had a great time tonight!  It took them a few houses to get warmed up, but they soon remembered how fun it is to go running from house to house getting candy!  By the time we got to the other side of our street, however, Conner was just hilarious... he was obviously getting tired so after every house we heard a new complaint.  "This is giving me a headache."  "I don't like Halloween."  "I feel sick."  The kid was on a roll and while he was thoroughly entertaining us, he was also DONE!  Ben did awesome the whole time and when we were ready to be done, he agreed that he had filled his jack-o-lantern with enough candy.  They were both so tired when we got home, that after handing out some candy to some trick-or-treaters, they had almost no interest in going through their own candy!  They will probably be really excited about it tomorrow, but for now, these two turtles are tucked in and fast asleep! Happy Halloween!!!

First Grade Concert!

Tonight the boys had their first grade music concert and art show at school.  They got to show us some art they had done in art class and then they put on a great concert for us!  Ben and Conner both did fabulous and it was such fun watching them sing and get so excited about performing!  They sang six very cute and fun songs!

They had to have one final bow when we got home!  Good job guys!

Boo Box!

Like all children our kids love when a package comes in the mail for them!  The greatly anticipated Boo Box from Nana and Gramps arrived today!  My favorite part was the cookies.  The boys thought the vampire teeth were pretty cool!  Thanks Nana and Gramps!

Costume Party!

We love going to Great Wolf Lodge at this time of year because the boys can take their costumes and dress up for a night!  They both wanted to be ninja turtles!  They were very excited to wear their costumes!  We went down to the lobby where the boys watched a show and listened to story time.  It was then time for the dance party!  Our two boys were so tired by the time the music began that they had lost interest in the dancing part!  So after listening to a few songs, we decided to call it a night.  The boys had a great time, despite being so tired!  They slept well tonight!!!

We had a great weekend!  The boys love it here!  It will be good to get home though and maybe catch up on some sleep! I am so proud of Conner and Ben and how independent they are.  Their confidence made for some scary moments for Mom, but it was awesome to watch them explore and have so much fun!

Morning Water Works...

Saturday morning was spent at the water parks!  It is amazing how much more the boys were able to do this year.  They loved the water slides and even went on a few of the bigger ones with Daddy.  They also loved the wave pool and started diving right into the waves!  They also stood under the big bucket of water and waited to get drenched with Dad.  They did great!

After a full morning (that began at 5am with two very excited little boys) we made a little lunch and had a very little nap...  We went back to the water parks later in the afternoon!

Great Wolf Lodge...

We decided to take the kids to Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells!  The kids love it here and they couldn't wait to get here.  The car ride, as always, was brutal, but was worth it when we walked through those doors and the boys received their very own wolf ears that they have only taken off to go swimming so far!  Here are Ben and Conner in the lobby while Daddy was checking us in.

We got to our room and unpacked while the boys waited...

We decided to go to the game room for a while before we ate dinner.  Amazingly enough, the boys won 1000 tickets on one of the first games they played!  So we stood there, seemingly forever, while the game spit out 1000 tickets...  and then Nick had to feed them into another machine to count them so we didn't have to carry that many tickets around!!!  The boys didn't really realize how crazy that was!  They just wanted to move on to the next game!

After games, we had some dinner and spent the rest of the night at the water parks!  So much fun!!!

After 3 hours of swimming, Daddy made a snack and the boys got ready for bed.  They will sleep well tonight.  (Probably won't sleep late, but will sleep well!)

Long Weekend!!!

Today is the last day of school this week and Ben and Conner both have pajama days in their classrooms!  They are ready to go!

After dinner tonight we decided to start our long weekend with some root beer floats.  The boys had never had a float before and didn't know what to think about it!  Ben was worried it would make him float away, but we assured him that is not why it's called a root beer float!  When the cups were empty, everyone agreed that was a pretty good treat!
