Job Shadow...

Ben was able to participate in a job shadow at the Marion Police Department today! He had a lot of fun! The school resource officer that Ben knows from school is the one who was running things so Ben got a little extra attention. He got to see how they take fingerprints, how things work when there is a bomb call, how the canine units work, and lots of other cool stuff!

 

Tie...

The guys had another game today. I only got one picture of Conner out there on the field. They didn't have a whole lot of playing time. It ended in another tie, after a tough game. 

 

Home Game...

The boys had a home soccer game tonight! Ben is still not feeling 100%, but he decided to give it a try. It was a great game and LinnMar was able to win another one. Conner and Ben both continue to play really well!

 

Sick Day...

Ben's not feeling well, so he and I stayed home today. He has had a fever and a cough. Pretty sure we will be home tomorrow, too. 

 

Rough Game...

We traveled to Iowa City High tonight for soccer. This was a really tough game! The boys didn't get much playing time. 4 yellow cards and 1 red card later, the teams tied at 1-1. We were really happy with the tie!

 

Game Time!

The boys had their first soccer game today! Their first two games were canceled or postponed so they pretty excited that they could actually play today! The game was at Iowa City Liberty. I didn't get many pictures because the sun was directly in our faces, but I got a few. Their team won! They both did great and had a lot of fun!

 

Job Shadow...

Conner had a job shadow today over at Kirkwood, where he got to see several different companies associated with automotive technology. He had a wonderful time!

 

Change in Plans...

Today was supposed to be the boys' first soccer game! They were all ready to go, but the rain just wouldn't stop, so the game was canceled at the last minute. Instead they were required to go to a short practice to watch another team. (Yes, in the rain!) So they bundled up and I took them over for a little while!
