Band!!!

Ben and Conner are very excited about their first day of fifth grade band this morning. They practice every Friday morning at 7am! I absolutely loved watching them walk with their trombones across the parking lot and heading into school!

Off to the Races..

Nick surprised the boys with a trip to the races tonight!

Day 2...

Conner and Ben are ready for Day 2! We are all grateful that it is already Friday because Thursday was so exciting, it wiped us out!

Fifth Grade!

Fifth Grade... I'm not sure how this happened!!! Ben and Conner are so excited this morning. Maybe a bit nervous, but they can't wait to start their day! They have grown so much this summer. They just amaze us...

The boys had a wonderful first day! We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful school family who love our boys! It was pretty surreal walking past those 5th grade rooms and seeing my two boys in there! 

End of Summer...

Tagging sharks in the pool has definitely been a summer favorite! After tagging more sharks, the boys decided to do some wrestling in the pool... perfect way to spend the weekend before school starts!!!

One More Time...

The boys were able to go fishing one last time before school starts! Nick, Ben, and Conner met Papa and they had some good luck catching fish!!!

Zoey's!

We realized that we had not been to Zoey's all summer, so we stopped for lunch today! The boys went crazy for their pizza and zookie! Summer is officially coming to an end. I have to go back to work tomorrow!!!

Golf!

The guys got to go golfing with Great Papa today! They reported that they all had a great time!!!

Everyone was kind of full for dinner tonight, so the boys made themselves a sandwich. We just have to work on cutting it in half... Conner destroyed his! They do love doing these little things now that make them feel more "grown up!"

Project...

Our project for the next couple of days is to build some garden boxes so we can use them next Spring!

Fishing...

We spent the day in our happy place... on the lake fishing! Conner caught a 27inch Northern and Ben did an excellent job helping Dad with the boat today! We had another great day in the sunshine!

Pool Day!

Watching our two boys in the pool is one of my favorite summer activities. However, listening to them is even better! They are tagging sharks here and talking and giggling to each other!

Movie Morning!

The boys and I decided to go see a movie this morning. Sherlock Gnomes was what they picked. They really liked it!

Shark Week!

Since we were in St. Louis for some of Shark week, we recorded all of the shark shows and have slowly been watching them. If you didn't already know, these boys take their shark week very seriously...

Boys Night!

The guys were supposed to go to the races tonight, but the rain ruined that plan, so they settled for ice cream! (A lot of ice cream!)

Quiet Time!

Ben and Conner were lucky enough to spend the majority of the week with Nana and Gramps! They had such a great time! Thank you to Nana and Gramps for giving the boys such a great week and for giving Nick and me some quiet time!
