Doughnuts...

This morning is the beginning of Nick's vacation week and he thought he would treat the boys to something different for breakfast.  When the three of them were dressed and ready to go, they went to HyVee and the boys got to pick out a doughnut.  They were pretty excited when they got home!  They both pretty much just ate the chocolate off the tops of their doughnuts and were done!

Clever Kiddos...

I took Ben and Con shopping at Daddy's store this morning for the first time in a long time!  Conner helped me put all the groceries away and managed to fit a whole mess of it in the drawers in the fridge.  While I was dealing with our contractor and carpet cleaners around lunchtime, I came back upstairs and Conner had made himself a little picnic on the coffee table.  Milk, Lunchable, grapes, and a whole lot of pudding!  It was pretty cute though, so we had a picnic in the living room so the kids could watch a movie while they ate their lunch!

After I saw Conner's food in the living room, I met up with Ben on his way out of the kitchen holding his own Lunchable.  This is how I found the refrigerator....  apparently it took Ben two step stools to reach what he wanted!

Such clever kiddos I have....

Temporary Setback...

Our sump pump wasn't working right and we ended up with wet carpet this morning.... not cool.....  Luckily the contractor, plumber, and carpet cleaners were able to come out today and start to get everything fixed up.  (I hope.)  So after unpacking tons of stuff in the basement for the last couple of days, I had to repack and move a lot of stuff over to the unfinished part of the basement.  Conner's favorite phrase right now is "I'm not happy."  That pretty much sums up how I feel right now!!!

Monster Spray...

The boys have been having a few issues adjusting to their new rooms.  I'm not surprised, as I knew it would be a big change for them.  In addition to the fact that they are rising at about 4:30 every morning, ready to start their days, they have been concerned that there are monsters in their rooms at night.  So, lucky for them, we know that "Monster Spray" will rid their rooms of any such creatures.  We got a new spray bottle and stuck some letters on it and using our Monster Spray is now part of the nightly routine!  I'm sure we won't have to do this for too long, but for now, I'm willing to go with whatever gets them to stay in their beds at night!  They also have made a habit of making sure that they have their little flashlights with them when they go to bed.  Again, whatever works... Nick and I just have to remember to go turn off the flashlights once our babies are asleep!

Conner's Crown...

Conner absolutely loves the headband/crown that he made at school.  He has informed me that he will also be wearing it to bed!

Did I mention that when I bought the white t-shirts for them to tye dye, I had to buy them in the BOYS section because the toddler ones were too small for my babies???!!!!  It was a sad day for me....!!!!

Tye Dye...

Last week the boys got to tye dye t-shirts at preschool and Conner absolutely insisted on wearing his shirt today and Ben thought it was a pretty good idea too.  They allowed me to snap a quick picture before leaving for school.  Conner also insisted on wearing his "crown" and bracelet that he made at school yesterday!  He is becoming quite particular about what clothes he wears now!

Work in Progress...

While the boys were choking down their lunch today, I thought I would take a few pictures of our work in progress...  we have gotten a lot of unpacking done, but still have a whole lot more to go!  The boys are still adjusting to the change.  We have had some very early mornings and Ben seems to have acquired some "monsters" in his new closet that we will have to do something about...  We will try some "monster spray" tonight!  I am really looking forward to having a quiet movie night in front of our fireplace tonight!
