More Pre Race!

The guys got to sit in the 45 car! They also had to purchase new shirts for the race as soon as the haulers opened for business! We had such a good time playing games and hanging out before the race! We even got to see Denny Hamlin, Ty Dillon, and Austin Dillon before the race. They answered some questions and played games with the fans!

 

Pre Race...

We headed over to the Kansas Motor speedway this morning to start the pre-race festivities. Everywhere we looked there was something fun to do! The boys found their favorite drivers merchandise haulers and we took some pictures. They were able to sit in a semi and pretend to drive, they got to do some Iracing, and they signed the race car celebrating 75 years of Nascar! We also got to see the team start the race car! This was all before 10am!

 

Saturday Night...

After we checked into our hotel and got a little settled, we decided that we needed to try a barbecue place close by, so we went to Jack Stack Barbecue for dinner. It was amazing! We had a family style dinner with four different kinds of smoked meats, plenty of side dishes and we even threw in some pulled pork mac and cheese. After dinner, the guys wanted to swim at the hotel, so we headed back so we could relax in the pool for a while before heading to bed to rest up for race day!

 

Sea Life!

We arrived in Kansas City early afternoon and headed right to the Sea Life Aquarium. We love aquariums and had a great time walking around and looking at all of the sea life! Our favorites were the sharks, jellyfish and seahorses! After we were done at the Aquarium, we walked around Lego Land and did a little shopping downtown.
