Good News...

Conner and Ben had EEGs done last week and we got the results today.
"Normal"
What?
Yes, the results are normal....

Our boys have epilepsy. They have had this since they were 1 and 2 years old. Neither one of them has ever had a normal EEG. Never. I can still remember the first EEGs and how the doctors explained the abnormal results to us. Our lives changed. And today, we were told that they both have a normal EEG. This could change the rest of their lives. Today I can say that our sons are outgrowing their epilepsy. This might not always be the case, but today, I can say it. This gives us so much hope and makes everything feel a little lighter.

Today is a day of happy tears and a glimpse of a future where our boys don't have to plan their days around their meds. We don't often get good news from doctors, so we are going to treasure this moment...

Today is a good day.
